We had five of our athletes competing in the Junior International Cup and USA Open Karate Championship in Las Vegas.

  1. Thora Hernandez
  2. Mady Niang
  3. Delicia Iteriteka
  4. Carys Winter
  5. Aeddan Winter
They brought home 9 medals: 1 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.

The two tournaments are international events that have traditionally attracted competitors from all 50 states and over 30 countries. I don't know the exact numbers for this year yet, but a USA Karate tournament administrator gave me and estimate of about 2000 competitors.

Our group had great learning experiences and everyone received at least one medal.

Congratulations!
